McCain camp desperate for conservative vote
Headlining at BREITBART.com is an article titled Shaken Republicans look to McCain as savior. There is no author for the piece listed. I strongly suspect that is because it is a PR piece contrived by his own camp in their ill -fated efforts to rally the conservatives around McCain.
John McCain (or at least his advisors) are well aware of the fact that McCain can count on nothing but contempt from the conservative base. His camp is also aware that the very voters that got him this far in the nomination process will most likely be voting for the Democratic nominee. Now that Bob Barr, a true conservative, has entered the race things just got worse for the good Senator from Arizona.
This weak attempt to rally conservatives proclaims that “McCain appeals to almost all Republicans?” Really? I would love to know what this assertion is based on because I have yet to meet an actual Republican that wants anything to do with this guy.
The recent Republican losses in Mississippi and Louisiana have nothing to do with the Bush Administration. It has nothing to do with the approval, power and prominence of the Democratic policy and party. Look at the polls, both have horrific and historically low ratings.
This has everything to do with the GOP failing to do what they were elected to do. This has everything to do with the republicans saying “enough!” Instead of acknowledging this they will continue in their sad attempts to convince the republicans that they really do like this guy and this new left shift of the party.
McCain, you and the GOP leaders have knifed us too many times. You are trying to play both ends against the middle but you can’t fool us. You’re just not that deep and seeing articles proclaiming McCain the savior, when we true conservatives know better, just anger us and push us further away. We are not as clueless and easily led as you seem to believe us to be.
Make no mistake about it, there is a tug-a-war going on in the Republican Party between it’s leaders and it’s members. We shall see who walks away the “victor.”

This is not a press release from the McCain camp. This is an AFP article (see the bottom of the piece).

Thomas, I am aware this is an AFP article. Thank you. However, someone had to sit behind their computer and contrive this story.
There are two alternatives to the who/what behind this article.
1. McCain’s camp.
2. A liberal attempt to create their own “Operation Chaos” within the GOP (which I will be addressing at a later date).
Thank you for visiting. I look forward to more of your comments.
