DNC Rules Committee compromises and allows 1/2 of Florida and Michigan
Up first on the table is a motion to seat 100% of Florida’s Delegates, with full voting rights.
Yay - 12
Nay - 15
Many in the crowd are angry. They began chanting “Denver,” where the DNC convention will be held.
Will they vote to seat some of Florida’s delegates? That vote is up next.
It appears Obama has agreed to seat 50% of the delegates with certain conditions - or as he put it, 100% of the delegates seated, each carrying 1/2 a vote.
The delegate count breakdown will be as follows:
50% Hillary Clinton
33% Barrack Obama
26% John Edwards
The crowd continues to heckle the rules committee.
The motion has passed. All Florida Delegates will be seated at the convention, each with 1/2 vote.
Next up is Michigan.
Motion on the table:
Seat all Michigan delegates with one-half a vote each. They want to allocate delegates as follows:
69 delegates to Clinton
59 delegates to Obama
All unpledged delegates to cast 1/2 vote.
Operation Chaos is officially a grand success. Congratulations to Rush Limbaugh, and all his foot soldiers. Job well done.
Everett Ward, N.C. Obama Super Delegate has played the race card.
The motion passed. All delegates will be seated at 1/2 vote, with delegates pledged as stated above.
Yes- 19
No - 8
Chaos has broken out, and security has been asked to close the doors to shut the noise out.
End result, neither Obama or Clinton have enough delegate votes to close the other out, with three states to vote (in this case Puerto Rico counts as a state).
Hillary Clinton has reserved the right to take this to the credential committee in Denver.
Stay tuned for more of “Operation Chaos.”
