Obama’s experience put into perspective
BY VIRGINIA H. SHANAHAN
Prior to his time as a United States Senator John McCain served in the military for 23 years prior to his retirement. Five of these years was spent in a Vietnam prison camp, where he was tortured. He bears those scars to this very day. When the Vietnamese offered to let him go once they discovered his father was an Admiral, McCain turned them down. He opted to stay behind with his men.
Senator McCain retired from the military in 1981. The Senior Senator from Arizona was elected to the senate in 1982. Agree with him or not, he has a long term record of steady employment, and a record that can be easily tracked. Everyone knows McCain- good, bad and indifferent.
On the flip side of the coin, Senator Barack Obama, assumed the position of United States Junior Senator from Illinois, January 2, 2005. He has served only three years in office.
Just over one short year after being elected to the U.S. Senate, October 23, 2006, on Meet the Press with Tim Russert, Obama stated he was considering a run for president. Obama announced his decision to run for president on January 16, 2007, just two short years after being elected into the U.S. Senate. What have his accomplishments been during these three years as a U.S. Senator? Nothing. His lack of experience shows in his less than impressive record.
Since his election to the U.S. Senate, Obama has spent most of his time traveling, in an effort to promote his book “The Audacity of Hope,” campaign for other democrats, and campaign for his presidency. He has spent more time on the road than he has in the Senate Chamber.
Obama’s seven years in the Illinois Senate, where he earned the dubious distinction of being the most liberal senator, appears to be the only long- term job Obama has held. The only long term record, showing anything of significance is Obama’s 20 year membership in the racist, anti-American church of which he just recently revoked his membership after the church, Obama’s spiritual advisor and close friend, “Reverend” Jeremiah Wright, and the destructive black liberation theology was exposed to the world.
John McCain spent more time in a prison camp than Barack Obama has spent as a U.S. Senator. Think about that.

LOL, Are you kidding me? Did you purposely miss the point of the entire article, or are all Obama supporters this damn stupid!
When looked at this way Obama’s complete lack of experience and readiness for the job, is more abysmal than his marxist ideals.
