Boil Them In Big Oil? Let’s Start With You!
BY VIRGINIA H. SHANAHAN
The Guardian UK is reporting that James Hansen, self-professed leading climate scientists is going to speak before congress. In this speech he will “call for the chief executives of large fossil fuel companies to be put on trial for high crimes against humanity and nature, accusing them of actively spreading doubt about global warming in the same way that tobacco companies blurred the links between smoking and cancer.”
Hansen went on to tell the Guardian “When you are in that kind of position, as the CEO of one the primary players who have been putting out misinformation even via organizations that affect what gets into school textbooks, then I think that’s a crime.”
I agree with Hansen. It should be criminal, but why does he stop with CEO’s? What about NASA scientists, such as Hansen himself, that intentionally falsify information, and leak it to the press, in order to pursue an agenda?
In a 2005 interview with ABC, Hansen claimed 2005 to be the warmest year, in over a century, on record. At that same time the LA Times was granted an interview with Dr. Waleed Abdalati, another climatologist with NASA. He stated that he could not confirm 2005 as the warmest year on record, and that no data has been confirmed. The claim that 2005 was the warmest year on record has since been debunked.
It has also been shown that Hansen has been “cherry picking” the data he will use, and plays with the numbers to fit his agenda. Steve McIntyre, author of Climate Audit, a blog dedicated to the analysis and discussion of climate date, noticed some oddities with Hansen’s data. After further study, McIntyre discovered Hansen had changed data sites three times, as well as his method of calculations. However, the proof of Hansen’s “intentionally falsifying information in order to pursue an agenda” when it was discovered by McIntyre that not all data published had been changed to the new sites, or calculated in the same way. He twisted his data data to fit his hypothesis of anthropogenic (man made) global warming.
As if not boldly hypocritical enough, Hansen went on to tell the Guardian “”The problem is not political will, it’s the alligator shoes - the lobbyists. It’s the fact that money talks in Washington, and that democracy is not working the way it’s intended to work.”
Apparently democracy should not be for sale, but Hansen has no problem putting a price tag on science. In 2004 when Hansen publicly endorsed John Kerry for President, he received a $250,000 grant from the Heinz-Kerry Foundation. NASA’s Goddard Institute covers Hansen’s entire budget to conduct his research. Why Hansen needed this grant, and what he did with the money is unknown to this writer at this time.
Last but not least, how can we forget the eye-opening article in Investors Business Daily back in 2007, which showed Hansen had received $720,000 from the Open Society Institute (OSI), a group funded by socialist activist and billionaire George Soros.
How can anyone take seriously someone with a proven record of falsifying data to suit his own agenda, and has over $1,000,000 in unnecessary funds, that we know of, from groups with the same agenda? If anyone should be boiled in oil, certainly Hansen should be first in the cauldron of lies and lobbyists.

Great article! I’ve heard of Hansen, but never knew this!
Why stop with Big Oil and Scientists for hire? We should also boil media outlets that praise this guy, and those like him (like the Guardian did), and Congressional leaders that call him knowing what he has been bought and paid for.
These wackos are trying to destroy our economy based on false science. They need to be stopped.
Our freedoms are continually under attack. In the States we have the threat of the “Fairness Doctrine’ threatening our talk radio. Pretty soon if people like Hanson has his way not only would the CEO, but news media could be sued for spreading “untruths” against any politicaly chosen consensus that is the current politically correct stance. Mao’s reeducation camps come to mind. Eternal vigilance to keep our freedom is eternaly called for.
