Follow the money or show me the money? Let’s do both.
BY VIRGINIA H. SHANAHAN
What a fun mix of reactions I have received in the past 24 hours, in reference to yesterdays article “Boil them in Big Oil? Let’s start with you!” The article discusses Dr. James Hansen’s call to prosecute leaders in the fossil fuel industry and his hypocrisy in doing so. His reason? Hansen alleges they are spreading doubt about man-made global warming. How? By “putting out misinformation,” some of which makes it way into text books, and his claim that democracy is bought by these leaders via lobbyists.
I have been accused of “attacking” Hansen for pointing out the fact that he falsified his scientific data to make it support his claims, as well as pointing out the fact that even though NASA pays for all research costs, Hansen collected $250,000 from the Heinz-Kerry Foundation, as well as $720,000 from OSI, a group run by leftist billionaire George Soros. His devoted supporters claim this was money awarded for his environmentalism. My questions are simple. Where did the money Hansen collected go and what was it used for?
Hansen is far from an objective, unbiased scientist. He, and his scientific results, are bought and paid for. It’s that simple. He has an agenda. He has found someone that will help him push his agenda, and pay him well.
Certainly this is an “inconvenient truth” that leftists prefer we not discuss, but truth is truth; reality is reality. Hansen and his science has a price tag affixed to it. Therefore, in your continued efforts to push this global warming hoax, it will behoove you to find someone new to represent your cause. Someone credible, presenting credible science. May even broaden your horizon and choose an actual climatologist.
In the meantime if you don’t want me to point out the lies, hypocrisy and irony of those such as Hansen, my silence can be purchased for the low price of $350,000. This money will guarantee that Dr. James Hansen’s name does not appear in any of my future articles for one year. Now that’s a bargin.
