Finally some good news and a good ruling coming from the Supreme Court today. According to the Supreme Court Americans do have a right to own guns for self-defense in their homes.

In a 5-4 ruling, the court struck down the District of Columbia’s 32 year old ban on handguns stating it is in direct opposition of our gun rights as spelled out in the Second Amendment.

The court also struck down Washington’s trigger lock requirement, as well as the requirement the weapon be disassembled. However, the requirement of licensing a gun was left in tact.

Now, if you catch a child rapist in your home you can shoot the bastard and be done with it.
