The mystery of Barack Obama’s missing thesis

Published by Max Steel at 6:30 am under Uncategorized Edit This

BY VIRGINIA H. SHANAHAN

Barack Obama Jinkies! I think I found a clue.

Michelle Obama’s thesis can be found anywhere. Despite Princeton’s refusal to release it until after the elections, a quick google will find you a copy for your reading “enjoyment.”

Last week I attempted to find Barack Obama’s college thesis. It just struck me as odd all the discussion of Michelles, but no mention of Barack’s. So, I decided to seek it out. After a few days of getting nowhere, I asked my readers for help. It was not long before one of my brilliant readers informed me that the topic of his thesis was “Soviet nuclear disarmament,” and Columbia refuses to release it.

When I read those words my mind immediately drifted to the video put out by Barack Obama not long ago, where he promised to basically disarm the United States.

What makes this so much more interesting is the fact that in his book “Dreams of my Father,” Obama wrote that while in high school getting stoned from 1975 to 1979, he was hanging out with, and being groomed by, a well known, and admitted member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA), Frank Marshall Davis. Obama talks about advice he received from “Frank and his old Black Power dashiki self” prior to leaving for Occidental College in 1979, when he was 18 years old.

In his book he went even further. In 1980, while at Occidental College, he was careful to vet his friends. “To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists.”

In 1981 Obama transferred to Columbia University, where he claims to have stopped doing drugs, and began living a physically healthy lifestyle.

In 1983 as President Ronald Reagan was attempting to end the cold war, Obama states he was attending Marxist-Socialist conferences at Cooper Union. It was also during this time that Obama wrote his thesis on Soviet Nuclear Disarmament.

At least now there is no longer a mystery as to why the mainstream media is not going after Obama’s thesis, and why he continues to make himself the candidate of race. Were this thesis released, it may well set off an explosion of nuclear proportions.

    > You are a complete idiot.

Wow, way to thoughtfully counter the above argument, Anonymous.

That’s the left for you - all style, no substance.

The second comment above, which is listed to be from “www.buzzflash.net”, is NOT from buzzflash. It is from one using the name “freelancer67″, and who attempted to post this article on the buzzflash.net site. The article was removed from the main site and dropped into the “trash” file there, and because users of the site labeled it (and accurately so) to be inaccurate.

Attention webmaster, and freelancer67, too: you can’t allow false attribution on a public site; that’s a legal offense.

    Dear Edgardo,

Thank you for visiting Conservative Politics Today. All views are welcome, and I look forward to them.

    1. You claim the article is inaccurate, and call it trash, yet you site no evidence to back your claims. I know in liberal world “I said so” makes it so, but in the real world it does not fly. Feel free to correct the inaccuracies you claim are portrayed in this article.

    2. There is no “comment” from buzzflash. That is called a trackback, or ping. Apparently buzzflash has set it up so that trackbacks are put on a site when the site is uploaded to theirs. You have an issue with this, obviously. I suggest you contact buzzflash and ask them to alter their practices.

    3. You attempt to go all “legal” on me claiming “false attribution” etc. I see you posted this on another article here as well. I’m not going to chase you all over my site attempting to explain to you about trackbacks, etc. So, I tell you what to do. You have your lawyer call my lawyer and they can do lunch.

In the meantime I eagerly await the evidence proving my article inaccurate.

Have a wonderful day, and come back soon.

Well, Virginia - now you’re really stretching it. It also seems apparent that you have some insecurity complex, since the comments you’re referring to were not issued to you nor to your article. They were issued in response to comments made by another person, and on another site, as well.

You claim I call the article “trash” - I said that an entry by freelancer67 on another website was placed in the “trash folder” of that other site - you *do* see the difference, don’t you?

You also state that I have claimed it be inaccurate, which is also false - not that I find your comments valid, mind you, but I never claimed them to be false. Instead, I questioned the validity of freelancer67’s comments (”why won’t he permit…”). *THAT* is the only comment that needs validation. I never said that comment was false, either, only asked for validation, and because I didn’t believe there to be any.

Are you claiming freelancer’s question to be true, that Obama will not allow release of his thesis? If so, then additional burden of proof will fall on you, as well, and not on freelancer alone. Now *you* are making that insinuation, as well.

What you say that I KNOW to be false is your attribution to trackback - trackback doesn’t type in names or comments. Trackback isn’t how the “www.buzzflash.net” site wound up listed as the source of the comments made by freelancer67. freelancer67 is the reason that the false “name” attribution went to buzzflash. If you personally operate this website, you know that. If you don’t know that, then I’ll be happy to teach you how, since I have set up websites that use trackback and that allow user comments.

If you still don’t believe that false attribution that negatively counters one desired professional image is of legal questionability, then I’ll be glad to have my lawyer call yours. *Just give me the name and number of that lawyer.* You DID realize that no such contact could be made without your offering that information, no? Otherwise, why else would you make that comment? To make a quick end to an otherwise unsubstantiated argument, maybe? Maybe to appear in control? Instead, you’re only extending it, and by painting yourself insecure, disturbed, and unintelligent in the process.(Incidentally, buzzflash is owned and operated by a lawyer.)

It would be interesting to read Ms. Shanahan’s response to Edgardo’s June 27 post, but I suspect, as is usual with neocons, her response to truth is silence. First she sets up a long list of apparent lies and false accusations, and when those lies and false accusations are challenged with the truth, she goes silent. That is the Christian values ethic of the neocon: lie, falsely accuse, and then, run and hide when the truth emerges. These are the same kind of people who worked for Bush in 2000 and falsely accused John McCain of fathering a black child outside marriage. Anything goes, any false accusation is good politics. Any lie is justified. Why don’t you speak up, Ms. Shanahan. Afraid of the truth, of ashamed of your own lies?

No story here. The thesis is likely so strongly worded against the then USSR, that it is convenient for our whole country that it is not released. There is more at work here than the school & DNC.

On a side note, Bush won the whitehouse in 2000 with a 4% lead nationally. Do you realize that Obama’s 6% lead (if holds) nationally could translate to a total obliteration of McSame in November? It’s quite exciting to ponder…

  9. Anonon 25 Jul 2008 at 11:29 am edit this

    No story here.

Why the RNC will lose in November. Eventually Americans will be tired of being scared and lied to.

What lies? Be specific. I am looking at the book as I type this.

I graduated from Columbia College in 1966 and received a PhD., with honors, from Columbia University in 1974.

All PhD. theses from any university must kept be on file at the university itself and at a national center. They are open to anyone who wants to read them.

I also wrote a long senior paper, or “thesis,” about the history of the American labor movement when I was a senior at Columbia College. The College had no responsibility to file or keep a copy of any senior papers. The College did not require me or my faculty supervisor to file a copy with them.

Apart from being nasty, your comments about the Columbia University not releasing his senior thesis are totally uninformed and inaccurate. Maybe you should consult some academics who know what they are talking about before you continue writing this nonsense.

Good grief. Fox News is running another rant on this topic this evening.

  15. Carolon 06 Oct 2008 at 8:43 am edit this

Why is it that mainstream media doesn’t talk about Obama being a smoker which causes lung cancer yet keeps harping on McCain for having had melanoma? Obama is scary, scary! If liberals would only watch Fox News, they would be educated as to how he is a snake in the grass, and surely unfit to be our president. He only has one agenda, and that’s to weaken America so that the terrorists can take over our country’s freedom. He was being prepped for this from the beginning. For those who support Obama, you will reap what you sow if he’s elected.

  16. Deborahon 06 Oct 2008 at 11:28 am edit this

I totally agree with Carol. If Obama is not afraid of the truth, why doesn’t he make his thesis and other information available to the press? He obviously doesn’t want the American people to know who he truly is — a low life unworthy to hold public office and DEFINITELY unfit to run for President of the United States — in fact, he should be investigated for possible wrongdoing since he sleeps with such nasty old “dogs” and probably has gotten up with a few “fleas”.

Has anyone tried going to the university library and getting the thesis? Every university library has a copy of every thesis…why doesn’t someone just go take a peek at it? I think the guy is a big phony, but apparently the cult of personality is king…ref. Adolf hitler.

  18. Jimon 08 Oct 2008 at 10:09 am edit this

Obama has associates that will hurt his election chances and the news media is protecting him from being elected President!!!

The American people deserve “transparency” from Obama but we will not get it until it is too late!!!!!!

  19. Virginiaon 10 Oct 2008 at 2:35 pm edit this

THE REASON BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA’S COLLEGE RECORDS, BIRTH CERTIFICATE, THESIS, MEDICAL RECORDS, ARTICLES WRITTEN, ETC. IS CLEARLY BECAUSE HE HAS SO MUCH TO HIDE. I CRINGE AT THE THOUGHT OF A DRUG USER FROM THE HOOD OCCUPYING THE WHITE HOUSE. HE CAN’T HIDE HIS VOTING RECORD AND THE ISSUES HE BELIEVES IN. THAT CAN BE OBTAINED BY CLICKING ON
www.vote-smart.org. HE REFUSED TO VOTE ON MANY OF THE ISSUES BY VOTING “PRESENT”. HIS RECORD IN THE SENATE IS “WORTHLESS”.

  20. Carseron 10 Oct 2008 at 5:54 pm edit this

I bet that if McCain’s memoir had been ghostwritten by someone who bombed clinics or liberal judges’ homes, the press would be all over the story. Only FOXnews has covered this even a little bit. The majority of the media is so in the bag for Obama that it means we cannot trust anything they say.

Amazing! Barack Obama, a foreign agent, trying to destroy our country. Meantime, those great patriots George Bush and Dick Cheney have done their very best to destroy America and what it stands for.
