The Evil That IS Liberalism
BY VIRGINIA H. SHANAHAN
Liberal talk of tolerance would be laughable were it not so repulsively hypocritical. Gone are the days of “peace and love.” Look at these three samples of liberal love hitting the media this past week. Sadly, this the norm, and the reality of liberal thought.
1. Offended that D.J.s continued to refer to Barack Obama as a Muslim, one of his supporters decided to call and complain. She intended to call The Quinn & Rose show, but instead got someone else who broadcasts in the same building. Listen as this Obama supporter threatens to storm the building, and hopes John McCain dies before November.
2. During a Congressional hearing, William Delahunt (D-MA), Democrat Superdelegate, and Barack Obama supporter, told David Addington, Vice President Dick Cheney’s aide, that he was delighted to have al-Qaeda see him on C-Span. It seems everyone except Delahunt took his comments to mean that he would like to see al-Qaeda terrorists kill Addington.
Delahunt asked repeatedly whether the topic of waterboarding, a controversial interrogation technique that simulates drowning, ever came up.
Addington replied that he could not discuss that because “al Qaeda may watch C-SPAN.”
“Right,” Delahunt responded. “Well, I’m sure they are watching, and I’m glad they finally have the chance to see you, Mr. Addington.”
“Yeah, I’m sure you’re pleased,” Addington shot back.
“Given your penchant for being unobtrusive,” Delahunt said of Addington’s ability to stay behind the scenes.
After being bombarded with phone calls, Delahunt appears on the Mark Levin Radio Show. He claims he misspoke and meant “I’m glad I have have had the chance to see you, Mr Addington.” However, in light of the above transcript, the sentence makes no sense when “I” is inserted.
3. My personal favorite. Massachusetts State Legislatures were debating “Jessica’s Law.” The bill was named after Jessica Lunsford who was raped and murdered in Florida by a convicted sex offender.
During the debate, Representative James Fagan, Democrat, who is also a defense attorney said the following:
“…, that 6 year old is going to sit in front of me, or somebody far worse than me, and I’m going to rip them apart.
I’m going to make sure that the rest of their life is ruined. When they’re 8 years old they throw up. When they’re 12 years old they won’t sleep. When they’re 19 years old they’ll have nightmares, and they’ll never have a relationship with anybody. And that’s not because I’m a nice guy.
