God Did Bless America

There are three basic requirements of life: Self-defense, liberty and property- all dependent upon each other. These are all natural rights granted us by God. Found within the Declaration of Independence, are these inspired words written by Thomas Jefferson:
We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…
God created man with certain inalienable rights. In turn, man created government to help secure and safeguard those rights. Therefore, man is superior to government and should remain master over it.
Our Constitution and Bill of Rights guarantees to us all, the greatest freedom ever enjoyed by any nation. These are sacred documents that embody eternal principles. No man, or group of men, or government has the right to withhold them from another.
With this in mind, it is on this day that I honor the brilliant, courageous, and inspired men, whose devotion to correct principles overshadowed their devotion to popularity, party, or personalities. These exceptional men were raised by God to perform this very mission.
These men understood well the nature of most men to abuse the authority and power given them. Thomas Jefferson said, “In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.”
The power of heaven was with these great men as they drafted this most powerful document for governing citizens. The truths found within the Constitution, like the Ten Commandments, are timeless.
Next to worshipping God, there is nothing in this world upon which we the people should be more united than in upholding and defending the Constitution of the United States.
The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States was the foundation of our Republic, and from this sprang forth the greatest civilization on the face of the earth. It is our responsibility to preserve and protect this bedrock of freedom; We must do so for our God, our family, our country, our posterity, and the world.
On bended knee I give thanks to my Heavenly Father for those courageous men that heeded his call and served his will, and those that continue to.
