Tony SnowI was stunned this morning when I woke up and learned Tony Snow, 53, has lost his battle to cancer. He passed away early this morning. I know that he had to cancel appearances in April and May due to illnesses, probably cancer related, but I did not see this coming - not now anyway.

Watching Tony Snow, no matter the venue, was enjoyable. He was brilliant, quick witted, funny, sharp, classy, graceful, dignified, and his boyish good looks did not hurt either. This guy lived a life that many can only dream of.

He has been everything from a Presidential Speech writer, White House Press Secretary, news correspondent, syndicated columnist, host of his own news show, host of his own talk radio show, guest host of other top ranked radio shows, he was a talented musician with his own band, a wonderful husband and father.

I did not know Tony Snow, and I never met him, but he made me feel as if I did. He had a profound impact on my life. I truly learned from this man, and I will miss him. My prayers are with his family and friends.

Here is Tony Snow and his band “Beats Workin” at the National Press Club.
