Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal heavily rumored to be the Vice Presidential favorite, has once again - with finality- stated he will not accept the position if offered. A fiscal and social conservative, he is readily hailed as the future of the Republican Party.
Now is not the time for Governor Jindal to consider leaving Louisiana. He needs this time to prove himself and his policies. Already his success has been great, and his learning experiences invaluable. He has made promises to the residents of Louisiana. He almost violated one of those campaign promises and when heavily challenged he said “As with all mistakes, you can either correct them or compound them — I am choosing to correct my mistake now.” He did.
Were he to give up his position as Louisiana Governor he would replaced by Lt. Gov, Democrat Mitch Landrieu, brother of Senator Mary Landrieu. This would be a mistake of colossal proportions.
There is a time and season for all things. Jindal has created an exceptionally impressive and strong resume in his young life. His time is soon.
