Hatefilled Huckabee Supporters At It Again
July 30, 2008 |
The Washington Times article Evangelicals warn against Romney attempts to dredge up the old anti-Mormon battle that plagued Mitt Romney in the primaries. Started by radical Evangelicals and fueled by Mike Huckabee, former Southern Baptist Minister, the only thing missing was an Extermination Order against those damn Mormons.
The article claims that if John McCain selects Mitt Romney as his running mate then all 62 million Evangelicals will refuse to vote for him. I happen to know a few of the Evangelicals and I can tell you this is not true. Obviously they are not speaking for all 62 million Evangelicals.
These self-professed christians that will refuse to vote for Romney due to his religion claim not to hate Mormons, they hate mormonism. That is what they claimed when they dropped some nasty anti-Mormon literature on my doorstep - literature that was full of lies and deceit. I found myself wondering if they were aware of the false information contained within and did they care?
Some Evangelicals claim they can not support Mitt Romney because he is a flip-flopper. I have two things to say to that.
1. Are you kidding me? Have you not been listening to John McCain (and Barack Obama)? I have not seen so much flip-flopping since…well, never. First McCain is against offshore drilling, then he is for it. First McCain is against new taxes, then he will not rule them out. The list is endless.
2. Mitt Romney did in fact change his position on certain issues. However, unlike McCain and Obama these changes do not appear to be the result of political expediency. They are instead well thought out and reasoned changes explained well by the Governor. In Reaganesque fashion they appear to be the result of growth and learning as opposed to popular opinion.
The reason the “flip-flop” label has stuck to Romney is due in large part to anti-Mormon conservative Evangelicals. Those bigoted against the Mormon religion have found cover for their hatred.
The article is clearly pushing for Mike Huckabee as Vice President. A McCain/Huckabee ticket equals Old/Embarrassing. No doubt the Obama camp has the anti-Huckabee ads ready. They feature Huckabee’s comments - or “joke” - about a gunshot going off and Obama taking a dive, Romney should commit suicide, and my personal favorite “Don’t they believe Jesus and Satan are brothers.”
These would be followed by images of the doublewide trailer parked next to the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion, and interviews with the State Trooper that was fired for refusing to end an investigation in which Huckabee’s son was charged with beating and hanging a dog till death while a counselor at a boys camp.
Mike Huckabee is an uneducated, dim-witted, hate-filled, buffoon. He is an embarrassment to this country and a blight on the South. He is also a guaranteed loser. And let us not forget that McCain and Huckabee had to tag team Romney in order to beat him in the primaries.
Mitt Romney, on the other hand, is an educated, clean cut, family man (no skeletons in that closet) with proven leadership skills and expertise in solving economic problems, such as those being faced by this country today. I can understand why some are turned off and untrusting of his clean cut, moral, ethical lifestyle. The man does not drink, smoke, do drugs or sleep around on his wife. He is a dedicated family man that deals openly and honestly in family, business, and politics. Not many can look at Romney and feel comfortable seeing themselves in a mirror.
To all you Huckabee supporters refusing to support Romney, when the time comes you love this country more than you hate Mormons then we will take you seriously. Until then I will be waiting to see you lined up and picketing next to those crazy, rabid, evil individuals from Westboro Baptist Church.

Oh my goodness…I clicked on the link to Westboro B. C and nearly fell out of the chair…Yikes! I also love the “blight on the south” comment–thanks!

Thank you, thank you!!!!!!! I am a huge Mitt Romney fan (I published a blog, http://www.votemittforpresident.com, for quite a while, supporting his candidacy) and I had the absolute HARDEST TIME with Huckabee and his fans. Huckabee is a slimeball, and if McCain picks him as VP, I will not only vote for Obama, I’ll go out and campaign for him.
Cannot, CANNOT stand the Huckster!
