It’s Official: Barack Obama Is Economically Retarded
Senator Obama’s lack of knowledge and understanding on many topics becomes more obvious every day. What is beyond dispute is the fact that Obama is economically retarded. He does not have even a basic understanding of supply and demand, consumer behavior, and the fact that corporations do not pay taxes.
The other day he offered as a replacement to offshore drilling, the brilliant solution of airing up your tires and tuning up your vehicle.
He said “There are things you can do individually, though, to save energy. Making sure your tires are properly inflated — simple thing. But we could save all the oil that they’re talking about getting off drilling — if everybody was just inflating their tires? And getting regular tune-ups? You’d actually save just as much!
His newest economic plan consists of a one time $1000 stimulus check to families and $500 to single individuals. This money is to be taken from “big oil” companies and redistributed to the masses.
First of all, this does nothing to create more energy, alternative energy, or bring down the cost of oil, gasoline, and food. What it does accomplish is increase the costs to consumers everywhere because corporations do not pay taxes. The cost is passed on to the consumer.
If Obama truly desires to give some of the “windfall profits” back to the peoples then it should be coming from the government since they are taking over ½ of all oil profits. Talk about a “windfall.”
This is so bad I am almost embarrassed for him, almost. This is the typical socialist non-solution so prevalent in the Democrat party today. Look at their leader Nancy Pelosi. She continues to refuse a vote on drilling because she is “saving the planet.” How about saving the people Nancy? The planet will take care of itself.
This is pure pandering – pandering at it’s worst. When oil was priced at $150 per barrel the bad guys were the speculators. Now it is back to “big oil.” They can’t even decide who the bad guy is, they just know it’s not themselves.
Dirty little secret for those of you not keeping up- the democrats do not want the price of gas to go down. On the contrary these Markists want it to continue to rise. The sooner you people realize and accept this the sooner we can rid our government of these individuals that seek to strangle the American consumer.
The McCain camp nailed it. Obama is a “B” list celebrity famous for doing nothing except riding the coattail of those that have come before him.

NPR just reported that Obama’s tire inflating tips would actually save Americans a great deal of money.
“How about saving the people Nancy? The planet will take care of itself.” Are you sure you want to go down that road?
khlindsey, certainly you are aware that cost is passed on to consumers. Corporations may write a check to the IRS but the cost of the tax is passed on to the consumer. The corporation does not pay the tax. The consumer does.
Just as when the cost of gas increased- so did the cost of food. The oil man passed on the cost to the gas man. The gas man passed the cost on to the driver. The driver passed the cost on to the farmer. The farmer passed the cost on to the store. The store passed it on to the consumer. The consumer is the one that paid the increased cost. Not the others. The others made up the difference by passing the buck (pun intended).
Hey Bill - yes. Let us do go down that road. Let’s talk about it.
I can promise you that airing your tires and tuning your vehicles will NOT create any new energy. Nor will it decrease the cost of fuel. Let me know when it does.
The point is not to create new energy, it is that oil is a non-renewable resource, and if things as simple as properly inflating tires, changing air filters, etc can help to stretch how long the resource will last, then every little bit can help. At the current rate of consumption, even the most liberal estimates state that oil will be scarce come the next century.
And what Marxist tendencies does Obama have? Actually, what is your definition of Marxism? I’m not trying to say that in a belittling way or anything, it’s just that opinions do differ and I’m curious.
And we just view the media differently i guess.
