It is official. Barack Obama has chosen Senator Joe Biden as his running mate.  Obama promised those who signed up for a text message would be the first to know of his selection. In typical Obama fashion they screwed that up also. Those poor schmucks waiting by their cell phones, and holding onto their blackberries as if their life depended on it were the last to know. Word leaked out well in advance that Biden was the selection, and Obama’s camp put out a rush text message at 4:00 a.m.

 Biden is an interesting choice. Not only does his 30 plus years in the Senate glaringly contrast with Obama’s absolute lack of experience, but Biden’s inane and often inappropriate comments about his potential future boss will be refreshed in the minds of the public. Biden also loves taking money from federally registered lobbyists. Obama claims he refuses to accept donations from them. Will this also include any donation’s from Biden’s son who is a registered lobbyist?

 This is going to be fun.
