My Problem With Palin

Published by Max Steel under Uncategorized Edit This

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin passed an increased tax on the oil companies doing business in her state. Using some of the money, she redistributed the wealth and provided each household with $1800 to help with the cost of fuel. While I do not expect to agree with my politicians on 100% of the issues, I do expect certain things from them, one being not to plunder business’ and industry or punish them for their success.

The cost of a gallon of gas in Alaska averages about $1.00 per gallon more than the rest of the country. Is this directly due to the heavy tax placed on these oil companies?

This move is no different than Obama’s proposal to tax these so called “windfall proftis.” What other companies will be plundered? How will it be determined who the government will plunder and by how much? Will a limit be set on the success of a business or industry?

I have serious problems with this issue. I wait to see if Palin will address this great concern.
