Home And Geared Up For The RNC
First, let me say thank you for all the well wishes. It feels good to know so many care. We are back home tonight and I am thrilled to report there is no damage. We camped out about three hours north or our home. On our travels back we saw absolutely zero damage. I did see one tree down in a field but that was it.
Polls are showing Obama’s convention bounce. For the first time he has reached 50%. McCain is still at 42%. It will be interesting to see what happens with the polls after the RNC convention.
McCain’s camp raised an astounding amount of money since announcing Sarah Palin as his running mate. Well over 4 million dollars. Everyone I have spoken with is really excited about Palin, even after the revelation of her daughter’s pregnancy. Both men and women – self-described conservatives and liberals are getting furious about the nasty things being said about Palin and her family. I am interested in what will be the result should this continue.
I am set up and ready to go. I will be blogging about the convention as it happens. My internet connection and electricity appear to be flickering. Will it go out? May be. So, I will post what I can post when I can post it.
