Why McCain Can’t Email

Published by Max Steel at 7:53 am under Uncategorized Edit This

Yesterday Obama’s camp released a video attempting to make McCain appear old and out of touch. It mocked McCain for not being able to email. Big mistake on Obama’s part. There is a reason McCain can not email and it was printed in the Boston Globe and Forbes eight years ago.

McCain gets emotional at the mention of military families needing food stamps or veterans lacking health care. The outrage comes from inside: McCain’s severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes. Friends marvel at McCain’s encyclopedic knowledge of sports. He’s an avid fan - Ted Williams is his hero - but he can’t raise his arm above his shoulder to throw a baseball.

After Vietnam, McCain had Ann Lawrence, a physical therapist, help him regain flexibility in his leg, which had been frozen in an extended position by a shattered knee. It was the only way he could hope to resume his career as a Navy flier, but Lawrence said the treatment, taken twice a week for six months, was excruciatingly painful.

”He endured it, he wouldn’t settle for less,” said Lawrence, who rejoiced with McCain when he passed the Navy physical. ”I have never seen such toughness and resolve.”

My grandpa had similar problems from his injury in WWII. He had to have help getting a shirt on. He could do most everything else though, including combing his hair and farm work.

It’s interesting what we don’t know about people and how things we say can really turn out to be insensitive or crass.

However, McCain has had some commercials attacking Obama for things that are false as well. I don’t like the negative commercials, but it seems to be part of the process….

Are you telling us to vote for McCain because he’s an old man who can’t take care of himself?
