NASHVILLE – The son of state Rep. Mike Kernell has been contacted by authorities in connection with a probe into the hacking of personal e-mail of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, Kernell told The Tennessean.

This does NOT mean he is guilty, however based on what I’ve been reading on the net the perp has been traced too a college in Tennessee.

Today I am writing to everyone from one end of the political spectrum to the other – and all those in between. Our country is facing serious economic problems. These problems are now global.

Senate Majority Leader, Nancy Pelosi, has called for a congressional investigation of Wall Street. The Hill reports, “House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, when asked Tuesday whether Democrats bear some of the responsibility regarding the current crisis on Wall Street, had a one-word answer: ‘No.’” Pelosi “ripped President Bush’s ‘mismanagement’ of the economy and a lack of regulation that led to the current situation.”

The Politico, meanwhile, reports Pelosi “has ordered a broad, swift investigation of Wall Street and will demand testimony from Bush administration officials and captains of finance.”

The Drudge Report headlines read “Democratic Congress may adjourn, leave crisis to fed, treasury” “Harry Reid, “No one knows what to do.” From a paper in Germany, Der Spiegel, “the foundations of US capitalism have shattered.”

This is not the result of capitalism. This is the result of government regulated enterprises, and government institutions themselves, that are struggling and bringing down the economy. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, who was the catalyst for this current situation, are government owned and operated. This is not a pure free market.

As most of you know by now Governor Sarah Palin’s private email account was hacked into and the contents spread across the internet. The account has now been deleted, and federal authorities have begun an investigation.

Michelle Malkin has posted on her site an email she received from one of her readers who monitors a message board popular among hackers. The unnamed reader detailed for Malkin exactly what occurred and provided her with the thread posted by an individual claiming to be responsible for the breech of privacy.

The original poster used the name “rubico.” The linked email address for the poster was rubico10@yahoo.com.

Rubico stated he searched Palin’s site purposely looking for incriminating evidence in hopes of destroying her campaign but found none.

I read though the emails… ALL OF THEM… before I posted, and what I concluded was anticlimactic, there was nothing there, nothing incriminating, nothing that would derail her campaign as I had hoped, all I saw was personal stuff, some clerical stuff from when she was governor…. And pictures of her family

Rubico goes on to explain that when he realized the magnitude of what he had done by hacking Palin’s email he panicked. Even though there was no information to be found, he wanted what he had put out there so he posted the user ID and password on the message board so others could access it. Someone with a conscience discovered what happened, entered Palin’s account, changed the password and sent a notice to one of Palin’s friends so she could warn Palin and everyone else.

Rapidshit refers to rapidshare - rubico wanted to download the emails, put them into one file, and put that file up on rapidshare for the world at large to download

Earlier it was just some prank to me, I really wanted to get something incriminating which I was sure there would be, just like all of you anon out there that you think there was some missed opportunity of glory, well there WAS NOTHING, I read everything, every little blackberry confirmation… all the pictures, and there was nothing, and it finally set in, THIS internet was serious business, yes I was behind a proxy, only one, if this shit ever got to the FBI I was fucked, I panicked, i still wanted the stuff out there but I didn’t know how to rapidshit all that stuff, so I posted the pass on /b/, and then promptly deleted everything, and unplugged my internet and just sat there in a comatose state

Then the white knight fucker came along, and did it in for everyone, I trusted /b/ with that email password, I had gotten done what I could do well, then passed the torch , all to be let down by the douchebaggery, good job /b/, this is why we cant have nice things.

My guess in that rubico is not sleeping well tonight. He knows they are coming for him. Can’t you just picture him sitting in his mother’s basement breaking a cold sweat, jumping at every little sound?
