Meet David Kernell, a.k.a. Probable Palin Email Hacker
Yesterday I mentioned that the son of Tennessee State Representative, Mike Kernell, was contacted in relation to the hacking of Sarah Palin’s private email account. Have bloggers once again found the culprit?
As you may recall, I also reported yesterday on an email received by Michelle Malkin from one of her readers, who I assume is either a hacker or in internet security. While monitoring a message board hangout for hackers, called 4chan, he came across a post by a poster using the nic “rubico.” In that post rubico admitted to the hack, explained how he did the hack and why. He went on to state he was seeking incriminating evidence but found none.
There was enough information contained in that post that enabled savvy conservative internet detectives to find this rubico. This is where David Kernell comes in. David, son of Mike Kernell- who is a Democrat, is a college student in Tennessee.
After doing a search, bloggers have discovered a “rubico10” with accounts on youtube, Stream Community and Newground. All of these accounts are now closed. However on a cached image of rubico10’s youtube account is a photo. Though not great, the similarities in hair, skin color, etc are quite striking.

How do we know that rubico10 is the same rubico we are looking for? Again, can’t get anything past these slick bloggers. One found a biography posted in 2003 on a blog belonging to rubico10@yahoo.com. The bio reads “My name is David KernellI am 15 a white cacasian male I live in Memphis, TN.” [sic] This David would now be about 20 years old.
These are serious charges. I will not state conclusively whether or not he is guilty it is not looking good for him, as evidence counties to mount. He is in big trouble if he turns out to be the guilty party. He ruined his life in an effort to make a name for himself by seeking the destruction of someone he disagrees with politically. He may well have ruined his fathers political career.

Hopefully this serves as a warning to crooked politicians everywhere, and they’ll be a bit more hesitant about conducting state business through personal accounts. I know if I thought that I was above the law, and that the rules of my state didn’t apply to me, I’d just do things the old fashioned way- set up a social club and have off the clock meetings over Manhattans and high-stakes poker games.
If only you liberals felt the same way about the privacy rights of terrorists or suspected terrorists.
Let the above post serve as evidence of the absolute hypocrisy of the left.
