I Am Not Rich- I Cannot Afford This Socialism

Published by Max Steel at 9:16 am under Uncategorized Edit This

I listened to President Bush’s speech last night. In it he said we must act now or face a “long and painful recession.” To President Bush I say let us face a long and painful recession. It is called accountability and consequences and unfortunately the peoples of this nation will have to pay the consequences for the bad actions of a few corrupt politicians who were bribed via campaign contributions to permit these companies, such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to run amok.

We, as a nation, are going to pay for the bad decisions made by politicians that started back in Carter’s Administration and continued on through today.

We, as a nation, are going to have to face the consequences of irresponsible people that bought homes they could not afford.

We, as a nation, either face the long and painful consequences now or pass them on to our children. I don’t know about you but I have busted my arse every day, working hard, paying my bills on time, to ensure a better future for my children. I have not worked this hard just to see my children, and their children burdened by and buried in the bad judgment exercised by those coming generations before them.

We are bailing out carmakers. Why? If the politicians would permit them to make a product the American public wants we would not have this problem. These American carmakers are thriving in other countries but struggle here. Why? We have geniuses sitting in those rooms designing and developing vehicles the American pubic would buy in a heartbeat if the politicians would just get off their backs. Let them be innovative. This is what they do.

The FDIC is saying it may also need a $150 billion bailout. Oh good Lord. Who else can we line up at the trough? I see Al Gore calling for civil disobedience to stop coal plants! Well by golly, here’s an idea. Give Gore something. Let’s build big deep freezes in Alaska to save the polar bears. Certainly there is no connection to coal plants, but then again calling for civil disobedience to block coal plants when we have no other viable and affordable energy alternative- during the same time the government is stealing billion of our dollars is not a smart move. Of course, Al Gore is not a smart man, but he’s smart enough to have made a great living off of those more idiotic than he is.

Where does it stop?

Here’s Hillary saying Oh don’t let them lose their homes. I have a plan. This is the same woman who spent irresponsibly during her own failed presidential campaign. She can’t even get that paid off, but now she has a plan to buy homes for people? Are you kidding me? Hell, while were at it, let’s throw in a few million to pay off Hillary’s campaign debt.

Not throw them out? Hell yes. Throw them out. Let them rent like the millions before them. Then when the time comes they can afford a home, let them have a 20% down payment, steady employment and good credit. You know, like I did. Like 95% of this country did. Throw them out! This is called consequences and accountability!

The Democrats are all over this. They are loving this. They pretend to be concerned but this is what they have been working for since day one. The Democrat party is the party of socialists. These bailouts are the biggest leap into socialism that this nation has ever seen - and so called Republicans like George Bush are leading the charge!

Let them keep their house? Yes, let the government hold the lease on that home and when the homeowner dies after all those years of payments guess who gets to keep the house? The government. The government. The government owns your home. There is no more inheritance.

I see the Democrats are going to placate the citizens by throwing us a bone in the form of crooked politician Charles Rangel. That’s a good start. But not good enough. How about Chris Dodd, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Barney Frank? Who’s going to investigate them?

You do not have the right to come to me, steal my money, and give it whom you see fit. I do not have the right to demand a neighbor pay my house note. Nor do they have the right to bring one to me. To permit this - to force this -is socialism at its worst.

Why after these colossal failures thrust upon us by these corrupt buffoons in Washington, do we dare allow them the opportunity to “fix” it? Explain it to me.

Enough!

It is election year. It is 42 days until we walk into that voting booth, and Santa Clause has come to town a carrying a big old red gift bag. He wants everybody to get some. Well, except for the 95% of hardworking Americans that have done it right and will be paying the bill.

The day after the election, when all politicians are assured they’ve been re-elected and their political career assured- if no one gets thrown out after this debacle, their political career is assured- the very next day will be back to raising taxes, pork barrel spending. They are right back to the status quo. Come next election cycle rinse and repeat.

I don’t have anything more to give, and as soon as these bills pass there is no longer reason to remain or defend this once great nation, because freedom and liberty will no longer exist as was meant by our founding Fathers. We will truly be worker ants here to prop up the government. We will exist for our government. We will work for our government. We will belong to our government.

These are not bailouts. These are windfall profits. Windfalls for the politicians. Windfalls for the companies on Wall Street. Windfalls for carmakers. Windfalls for irresponsible people who took out loans they knew they could not afford. Windfalls for everyone except the responsible 95% of Americans, who get up every day, go to work and pay their bills and live within our means.

Every one of the politicians that votes for these windfall profits should be physically removed from office, run out of town a rail. Just like in the days of old. They should be shamed! They should be forced to hang their heads low and live in seclusion.

The people of this nation need to rise up and say, “Hell No, It stops today!”

Bring me my recession. Let it be painful. Let me bear the pain so my children and my children’s children will not have to. Because there is no pain greater than the loss of freedom and liberty. That is a pain I shudder to think I leave for mine.

It has to happen. It has to come. You cannot stop the cycle. And if anyone thinks it’s any better under socialism look over in Europe.

I have been a vocal critic of John McCain, even before the primaries. I wanted Mitt Romney. However, one thing I applaud McCain for is the fact that he tried to stop this. He tried warned everyone, he tried to enact reform and oversight to prevent this. But he was stopped and rebuffed by those like Chris Dodd and Barney Frank who was bribed to permit the criminal acts committed by the leaders of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to continue.

The CEO’s walked away with hundreds of millions of dollars. But I don’t blame them this time. It was those such as Dodd, Frank, Clinton, Obama, and Kerry that let them do this, by looking the other way. By refusing oversight. By refusing transparency. By refusing reform. These are the very ones leading the charge to give everyone a windfall profit – everyone except the 95% of responsible Americans that did it right.

If we can’t get loans then by God we can’t get loans. If jobs get lost then I am sad to say jobs get lost. And come November the first jobs that need to be lost are the people sitting in Washington that created this mess and those that signed onto any of these windfall profits.

These politicians want to do something. Start with slashing their own salary to $30,000 max. Cut their expenses that are riding on my back then come to me about a bailout. Let the Congress hurt themselves first. Eliminate your expense accounts. Pay for your own damn luxury car. Shut down the 5 star restaurants in the Capital Building.

Do this. Then come to me about bailing you all out. You know what, this is a political bailout. This is not an economic bailout. The very worst offenders are the ones wanting to give the most. But what are they giving? They are giving our money and their agenda.

This is what they want. This is who they are. This is socialism at its worst and this is what they are shoving down the throats of the Americans! Their view, their beliefs, their socialism, their destruction of this country and it’s not costing them a thing. We are paying them to do it. Quite well I might add.

I am not rich. I cannot afford their socialism. I don’t have that luxury.

Get on the phone and stay on the phone. Call your Senators and Congressmen and tell them No Bailouts! No Socialism!

(202)224-7391 US Senate Banking Committee direct line.

Although, once again, you’re wrong in assuming Democrats are happy about this. Everyone is pissed. This has nothing to do with party politics, and you know that. You’re using an age old meme that has no credibility, and you need to quit. We all know I’m for Obama, and today I’m attending a Wall St. protest. Everyone is against this bailout, because we recognize a con when we see one. We’ve had eight long years of being ripped off by this administration, and we’re through. If you could only see past the end of your own nose, you’d understand as well, and you’d be just as pissed at McChicken**** as you are at the bailout. But you can’t. You’re incapable of an original thought, so please, go back to leaving sycophantic comments on the Weekly Standard’s website.

This has everything to do with party politics and you know it. Facts are facts! And I’m not even a Republican!

Bill Clinton even said on the news this a.m. that this is the direct result of Democrats refusing Republican calls for oversight and reform.

On my blog you have proven yourself to be nothing more than a socialist party hack. If you use vulgar language on my blog again I will ban you.
