Talking Points For Republicans On The Hill
Why are House Republicans blaming Nancy Pelosi for their refusal to pass the failed bailout bill that would have driven this country head first into full-fledged Socialism? Those guys looked like metro-sexuals standing up there. Be men.
In order to help them out I am providing a few talking points. Hopefully they will be able to fill in the rest.
1. The Democrats have the clear majority in the house. They could have passed this bill were a good one. It failed because even the democrats realized it was just plain bad.
2. The Republicans were locked out of the process, and the very people attempting to “fix” this problem are the very ones responsible for creating. We do not believe it is in the best interest of the country to have these individuals involved in any discussions. We ask at this time that they willingly remove themselves from the process. They can go willingly or in handcuffs, as we will be pressing criminal charges.
3. This bill declared that the Secretary of the Treasury would ensure the economic well-being of the American people. The government can not provide prosperity. It can only prevent it.
4. It went on to give the Secretary of Treasury unfettered, unchecked power and authority.
5.. This bill is written under the pretext that if the government does not Socialize our market it will fail. We have seen the failure of government Socialism here in our own country; Social Security, Medicare, Medicade, Welfare. So, we Republicans say that if our stock market fails because we do not permit the government to control it, then we Republicans say “let it fail.”
