Congratulations To President Elect Barack Obama
Congratulations to President elect Barack Obama.
I have received many emails from unhappy Republicans. Why? Though I am not happy about his election I am not going to enter into any derangement syndrome as experienced by the Bush haters or sit around and moan and groan. Certainly I am worried about the direction our country is going to take, however, this is the perfect opportunity for the GOP to get their act together, unify, and get back to its core conservative base. Will that happen? I have no idea. I do know I will fight for it tooth and nail.
But I digress. This is for another day.Today is Barack Obama’s day and all of his supporters. I will let them have it.
In one respect the entire country won by electing a black man to the White House. Certainly I would have preferred a Michael Steele, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, or J.C. Watts but that was not to be. But think about the magnitude of this event. Fifty years ago blacks could not use certain restrooms, water fountains or even be served at certain restaurants. Today one was elected to lead this nation. In this respect it is truly a glorious and telling day in our country.
So again, congratulations to soon to be President Barack Obama and all of his supporters.

I think if you talk, he WILL listen. God bless!

Who are you and what have you done with the author of this blog?
I agree with Ann:
“For now, we have a new president-elect. In the spirit of reaching across the aisle, we owe it to the Democrats to show their president the exact same kind of respect and loyalty that they have shown our recent Republican president.” (Ann Coulter)
I hope Ann Coulter realizes that the American President is everyone’s president regardless of who voted for who. I may not be happy with the Bush policies but he is still my president. I hope that we can all come together to work towards the change that so many have hoped for instead of continuing the divisive remarks.
