Truck slams into home and ends up on child’s bed
This story is unbelievable! Thankfully, it has a happy ending.

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge middle schooler says she’s doesn’t need any presents this Christmas after what she calls a Christmas miracle.
She’s alive after an accused drunk driver plowed a truck into her bedroom, pinning her mattress under it. It happened around 1:00 Wednesday morning on Woodlawn Ridge, which is just off South Harrell’s Ferry Road.
Sydne Barard says she remembers being in her bed sleeping, but woke up in her yard, thinking there was an earthquake. Nicole Barard and her husband thought they heard an explosion. “Smoke and the bricks were everywhere and the… just the panic, looking for my daughter, why isn’t she where I left her last night?” said Sydne’s mom, Nicole Barard.
